I fairly familiar with the work of Lalla Essaydi. Some of her work is truly thought provoking (Although I wish I could read Islamic script so I can understand the literal meaning of the the henna script). Do you know of any places I can read up on her because everytime I view your page and see that picture followed by the "silence" quote, I am more and more intrigued.

nah tae...those are her words. well, she has an exhibit here at the saltworks gallery in midtown...outside of that, i would say google her up!
